He was an engineer at Microsoft, Skyflow and Fujitsu Research, and holds more than fifty patents in secure systems and AI. The problem he wants to solve is not specific to any product. In every company, analysts produce numbers that other people act on, and there is rarely a way to check that those numbers are right. Verifiable analytics, where every result carries its own proof, is the goal. Lens applies it to the ledger: every figure resolves to the rows that produced it.

A career CFO. Tapas was Finance Director at GlaxoSmithKline in the UAE for twelve years, then Executive Vice President and Group CFO at Keva in Mumbai, where he led finance, IT and legal for a group of six companies through an SAP implementation and an IPO. Since 2017 he has held operating and finance roles in the Gulf mid-market and founded FinsightPro, a finance consultancy for small and medium businesses. He advises Zfense Labs on what a finance team needs from its month-end reporting.
